The 2022 Pro Championship Bag reflects the history, values, and mission of the association to "establish and elevate the standards of the profession and to grow interest and participation in the game of golf." That statement is written on the base of the bag, with "1916" on the handle highlighting the association's founding year. It all started with the famous lunch at the Taplow Club in New York City, where founding member Rodman Wanamaker invited an elite group of golf professionals to form the association.

The bag honours that lunch meeting with the "9th on 9th" insignia, reflecting the locale: It took place on the 9th floor on 9th Street. From there, the association grew rapidly. The 141 on the upper pocket encapsulates the 14 Districts and 41 Sections across the country. The interior lining has images of each state that has hosted this major championship and how many times.
